Slim, tough and easy to aim. The V-Series is our original light: solid white, a thick diffused lens and rotation built right in.
It works in truck caps and beds, trailers, campers, vans and anywhere else that runs on 12V. The V-Series 12" is the shorter version of the V-40.
Note: The V-Series is single color (white only) with built-in rotation. You need a separate switch to turn it on and off.

Yes. The V-Series has no buttons. Wire it to any Kingpin switch to turn it on and dim it. Each switch runs up to 2× 40" or 6× 12" V-Series lights (3 amps max).
The rotation is built in. Turn it by hand up to 180° and it stays where you aim it. No Search Mounts needed.
Yes. Kingpin lights are a universal fit, and they mount inside or outside (weatherproof, IP54). Each one comes with 3M VHB tape and screws. Just check the size against the spot you have in mind. The 12" light is about 13.5" long, 1.25" wide and 1.25" tall, with the brackets attached.
No. Tape and screws come in the box. The 3M VHB tape holds on glass, topper doors and smooth panels if you prep the spot: clean it, scuff it lightly, wipe it with rubbing alcohol, then wipe on 3M Primer 94. Most toppers also have a reinforced ceiling for mounting lights. Carpet-lined caps have plywood under the carpet, so use the screws there.
No. A thick, diffused lens spreads the light evenly, so there are no bright hot spots and no harsh glare. It's easy to work under and easy to be around at camp.
It's very efficient: 0.5 amps at full brightness. Run it for hours off your starting battery and still start up and leave.
Yes. It's weatherproof (IP54): dust-protected and splash-proof from any direction. Don't submerge it.
Both are 4000K and weatherproof. The V is single color with rotation built in and needs a switch to turn it on and off. The F adds red and built-in buttons, and uses Search Mounts to rotate.
Any 12V DC source works, like a power station's 12V outlet. Most USB ports are 5V, so they won't run the light. Some higher-power USB ports may work, but we don't recommend it.

We have been using the 40" light bar on the rear panel of our GFC camper now for several months. Its definitely one of those small upgrades we wish we would have done sooner. During the day its slim and out of the way, and at night it provides fantastic dimmable light for cooking and hanging out at the tailgate of our truck.
The lighting is so bright and love how I can control it and dim the light! When you turn it on and off, it will turn back on with the brightness you turned it off at which is super cool! The material is high quality and I highly recommend this to everyone!
This light bar is incredible! I was definitely hesitant at the price, but I am so glad that I purchased it. It has been a great feature to my construction cap while the video may make it look not too bright at night. It is beyond what I needed.
The 40" V-Series lights worked exceptionally well as compartment and bed lighting in our fire department command vehicle build. We were very impressed with the build quality of the lights. Our customer especially appreciated the ability to rotate the light, allowing them to illuminate either the interior of the compartment or the area outside the vehicle. This versatility creates a well-lit workspace at the tailgate whenever needed.
These work great! Wiring was simple enough and the dimmer works like a charm. Would recommend, has leveled up my truck cap!
Great lighting system. I really like that the lights are dimmable and you can rotate to get the light to shine where you need it. Had a small problem with one of my lights and it was taken care of quickly. You can’t go wrong with the Kingpin lights!

You would have thought it came with my Offgrid Expedition Trailer by the way it looks. Rotates and stays in position. Amazing light quality and brightness. Coupled with that dimmer switch. Customer service is awesome. Thats why I wrote a review. Sexy cost but it's worth it!

This product is most excellent! I was looking for an additional light that would go on my rear gate when opening it to shine on the ground (like the puddle lights on doors). Found Kingpin Equipment, install was great as I tapped into the rear hatch latch as to not draw the battery down. Went back and forth on the switch location, but ended up where it is to keep the wiring short and not going through another panel. Works great and love it!
Great to light up the bank when night fishing. I know they say you shouldnt submerse it,but ive got one just below the motor on my boat. It was in the water for a week at Powell and i did some serious tube pulling. Still works great. I have one in the bimini underside to light up the sitting area. Its great to have it dimmable. Although, the dimmer got a little wet and its toast, just like they said it would be. I love these lights. I have 8 of them now on my truck, work van and boat.
Had my hubby do a few hardwiring for my 2016 jeep wrangler but in love with it . Cant wait to test this out for our Overlanding trip to Colorado 😊

This is a very high quality product that ships with great components to integrate into your supplied wiring. I am overall extremely happy with my purchase but I do struggle to see the value, which is the only reason for a 4 of 5 star rating.

Really love the quality! They were really easy to install (with the dimmer switch as well). I haven’t had any issues with them even running in super cold weather (-5°f). They are also incredibly bright! Exactly what you want to hear able to see tools, gear, tailgate, etc. The dimmer is handy for those times where lighting up every inch with the full force of the sun isn’t necessary — like elk camp. Great procedure and excited to use them for years to come!

GREAT LIGHTS! The 40 inch was a great upgrade for the rear pull out kitchen on our micro camper. Wired up to the original light switch and now we have a light that does double duty, both kitchen and a great rear facing flood light. The 12 inch we used to light up the side mounted griddle. Both lights changed food prep greatly. The rotation of these lights really makes an advancement in intensity dimming without the use of a dimmer. Now when will you guys come out with some more sizes? Great PRODUCT!

I have these mounted on my upper storage rack and on my rear hatch. They are super bright when you need them to but if you don’t need much light, they are dimmable. Such an awesome feature. They were easy to install and light enough to mount with double sided tape (I ended up bolting them down for more security). Overall, I’m happy with the products from Kingpin Equipped. Just installed the 40’ Kingpin Light in my 2024 Silverado High Country that has a DiamondBack SwitchBack cover on the bed. I wired it through their dimmer switch and tapped into the bed courtesy lights. Doing it this way the light is activated automatically when I either unlock the truck of press the courtesy light switch on the dashboard. I really appreciate the fact that I can control the brightness by the dimmer switch and can also rotate the light as needed. Very happy with my purchase.

Incredible light bar. Have 3 40” and 2 12” installed in my camper shell. ridiculously bright with useful light. Dimmer helps if needed, but lights are top quality. Worth the spend, easy install, and light years ahead of the LED strips or the KC light picks I had installed previously. Rotate to where light is needed, and great build quality. Highly recommend!
