MOUNTING OPTIONS

Kingpin V-Series lights include aluminum mounting brackets.

Bracket spacing:

• 40" model: 3.75"L x 1.125"W each, spaced 35.25" center to center
• 12" model: 3.75"L x 1.125"W each, spaced 12" center to center

SUGGESTED MOUNTING METHODS:

1. VHB Tape (Most common and preferred for most applications)
2. Screws: #6 or #8, 8 total (4 holes per mounting bracket). Rotate light to access holes. 
3. Quick-release option: Velcro or Magnets (DiY)

POWER SOURCE

V-Series Light Bars are compatible with any 12-volt power source.

• Power draw:
• 40" model: 1.4A,16W
• 12" model: 0.5A, 6W
• Low power draw allows safe piggybacking into many existing circuits
• Optional: Add any style of plug or adapter to the factory cable (cigarette adapters are common)
• For AC power: Wire on a 12V-120V transformer to use with a traditional AC outlet

WIRING

Each V-Series light bar includes:

• Exterior-rated 18-gauge wire lead, tinned wire ends
• Lead length matches the light bar length

1. Connect the ground wire (black -) to a common ground or negative battery terminal
2. Connect the positive wire (red +) to the power source. Safety Tip: Add a small fuse inline on the positive wire, sized to match your light's power draw +20%. Place this as close to the battery or power supply as possible.
