- Every cable has 2 wires. Connect red to red and black to black.
- Where the lights meet, the 3 reds join and the 3 blacks join.
- The yellow block is the 5A fuse on the red wire.

The Kingpin F-Series 40" Light is a dual-color 12V LED light bar with bright 4000K white and red in one slim fixture. Use white to load gear, set up camp or work late. Switch to red when you want to keep your night vision or attract fewer bugs. Built-in buttons turn it on and change the color, so you don't need a separate switch. You can set either color as the start-up color.
It's weatherproof (IP54) and purpose-built for trucks, truck beds, campers and trailers, inside or out. Each light comes with 3M VHB tape and screws, so you can mount it either way. F-Series Search Mounts (sold separately) let you turn it 360°.
It runs on 12V DC and draws 1.1 amps at full brightness. Add a Kingpin dimmer to set the brightness. One switch runs up to two 40" lights. Size: 40" × 1.13" × 0.85". Designed & Engineered in Colorado.

Up to 2× 40", 4× 28" or 8× 12" lights per switch. Each switch handles 3 amps, so add up the amps: F-40 is 1.1, F-28 is 0.7, F-12 is 0.3.
Yes. Kingpin lights are a universal fit, and they mount inside or outside (weatherproof, IP54). Each one comes with 3M VHB tape and screws. Measure the spot first. F-Series lights are true to length: the 40" light is 40" from end to end. The screw holes sit about ¼" to ⅜" in from each end. On Search Mounts, each bracket is 4" long, and the light is about 1" longer and 1.375" tall.
No. A thick, diffused lens spreads the light evenly, so there are no bright hot spots and no harsh glare. It's easy to work under and easy to be around at camp.
It's very efficient: 1.1 amps at full brightness. Run it for hours off your starting battery and still start up and leave.
Yes. It's weatherproof (IP54): dust-protected and splash-proof from any direction. Don't submerge it.
The light comes with 3M VHB tape and screws, so you can use either one. Search Mounts (360° rotation) are sold separately. Add them above, or get the F-Series 40" Light Kit.
No. Tape and screws come in the box. The 3M VHB tape holds on glass, topper doors and smooth panels if you prep the spot: clean it, scuff it lightly, wipe it with rubbing alcohol, then wipe on 3M Primer 94. Most toppers also have a reinforced ceiling for mounting lights. Carpet-lined caps have plywood under the carpet, so use the screws there.
No. On F-Series lights, color is set on the light. Turn the light on and pick white or red with its buttons. The dimmer then turns it on, off and dims it in that color. To switch colors, press the button on the light.
Any 12V DC source works, like a power station's 12V outlet. Most USB ports are 5V, so they won't run the light. Some higher-power USB ports may work, but we don't recommend it.

Exactly what I was looking for for
This is an excellent addition to my new Overland Vehicle Systems Expedition topper. I got the F series specifically for my MTB practices and hunting so we can be loading or unloading with less bugs! I put 2 40" bars and 2 28" bars all wired into a 2 position switch. This let's me run just the 40s or all 4.
Very easy install, with all the proper hardware. Went with the 40" red/white light and rotary dimmer. Super bright on high and very easy on the eyes, almost ambient on low. Super slick setup with the search mounts. I definitely feel like i will be utilizing this light bar alot on more of my camp and fishing trips.
Love these lights. Installed a total of 4 on my truck one of which has magnets and a 15' extension cord and can be put almost anywhere. Plenty of light in both red and white for drone operations.

Man.. I was a little hesitant to drop such funds on rig lighting but then I remembered what a great man once said… “F*** IT” And, he was a great man. These lights are killer. Swivel adjustment brackets are crucial. Dimmer knobs are a must. Overall, after an afternoon of getting it fully dialed just how I wanted it (along with a custom Milwaukee drill bit box turned DIY junction box) I couldn’t be happier. For work or camping; these friggin rock!

Can’t say enough about these lights and Kingpin as a brand. I ordered the bundle of 3 F-series lights and one of the lights arrived damaged due to the shipping carrier. It was somehow bent at about a 40 degree angle, but totally intact, so these lights are as durable as they are advertised. I reached out to Kingpin and they immediately submitted a claim and shipped out a replacement at no cost. The install was easy, even for someone like me who does not have a lot of experience with electrical wiring. They look and work great, and I’m looking forward to putting them to use.

Absolutely love the light. I installed it in my work truck and it’s perfect. I belong to a Ham Radio club and introduced this light to replace the lights in the quick response trailer. They have some technical questions that I need to ask. Hopefully everything will work out. Highly recommend this light.
This light is exactly what I was looking for to put in the back of my Jeep LJ. It’s perfect. I plan to add a magnetic switch soon to make it turn on/off when the tailgate is opened/closed.

Mounted to my 2023 Ford F150 Raptor for additional camping and preparation lighting. It’s mounted directly to my RTT so I can roatate the lighting to camp, tailgate (for food prep) and towards my truck bed for additional visibility. Great value light and was relatively easy to mount. I made some modifications so it can securely mount to my T-slots on the tent via M8 screws. Love this thing! I also did a 5 min video walk through that I plan to throw up on YouTube so people can have additional mounting ideas.

Awesome light!! Lights up the entire area behind the truck, and the Search Mounts I bought with it allow me to easily rotate it to light up the bed. The dual color is also a nice feature when you need to see, but don't want to light up the world. Also, helps not attract bugs if you go to places like I do. Highly recommend!!
Installed the lights in an afternoon for an upcoming elk hunting trip. Couldn’t wait to see what they looked like when it got dark and was not disappointed!
